after watching republican presidential candidate ron paul’s speeches and explanations of his agenda, he is definitely becoming a much more favorable candidate in my opinion than any of the other puppets…even the majority of the democrats. of course, though, ron paul’s stance on foreign policy has been seen as anti-american and several major news outlets feed off of this and totally construe his agenda just for propaganda at an attempt to pull supporters away from his campaign.

just watch these videos from a recent republican debate… this first one between ron paul and giuliani where fox news does nothing but throw out accusations at paul, and this second one where cnn simply does the same thing aside from the fact that paul denies he ever suggested what they are accusing him of. in fact, he never even mentioned 9/11… that’s all the accusers talk about though! hell, it’s completely legal for the media to not actually tell the truth!

america… seriously wake up and stop being so damned blind and stupid about the shit mainstream media is feeding us! just because they say it doesn’t mean it’s the truth or fact. fox news is definitely the most distant from any sort of truth and it’s unbelievable that it’s still on the air spitting out its propaganda. but then again, it extends the agenda of neo-cons to the general american public so as long as those in power now remain, americans will continue to be fed nothing but bullshit and lies.

seriously, just when you think things can’t possibly get any worse, things continue to rapidly plummet into hopelessness. among all of the lies and corruption that have been plaguing this country since the dawn of bush’s presidency, 9/11 and iraq being the key components, things recently have been getting much worse. and what about the supposedly major “terrorist threat” that is still in place for the united states? nothing but bullshit and is simply the conglomeration of fear tactics used by the government to drive up support for their illegal and corruptive actions. the united states constitution basically no longer exists as our government continues to rip our constitutional rights away from us behind the scenes while we all remain oblivious to reality. the white house released this press release the other day that basically threatens those who stand up against or threaten the iraqi war efforts. in a loose, round-about way that this can also include those who protest the war. it isn’t stated verbatim, but get through the wordy legal jumble and it’s basically there… giving the administration the final say in who they feel is a threat to iraqi stabilization.

so, try to have a voice and stand up against the government because you feel their corruption is illegal, then the government will most likely be watching over you even more so. there have already been several reports of this occurring for those who lead major war protests. so much for our right for free speech. oh, and democracy…here in the united states? that’s basically a joke. if anything, we are quickly turning our backs on democracy in favor of a dictatorship as our rights continue to be taken away from us and our fine president assumes absolute power. why are we trying to promote democracy in other foreign countries when we can’t even get it together on our own soil? we have a president and executive branch who will misuse their executive power to do anything and everything they want no matter what congress or the rest of america says. isn’t it supposed to be a government of the people, by the people and for the people? so, you still think we are a democracy now?

then we have all of the major news media outlets catering to the same level of corruption and lies… fox news (especially fox news), cnn, etc. they feed the public the same lies that the administration wants them to. most are owned by clear channel, a major media corporation who i’m sure has a strong political lobby and influence.

and now the united states dollar is on the edge of the abyss, quickly declining in value at or below the support level of 80. the referenced article states that “More and more investors are coming around to the fact that the USD is dead and people do not want to hold this rapidly devaluing paper anymore. When the USD breaks 80, the whole world will see a big sell signal and this influx of people dumping dollars will send the greenback down into the abyss and its anyone’s guess how far it can fall, but it will fall…a lot.” the dollar is tanking due to the trade deficit. the canadian dollar is worth just about as much as the us dollar. that is fucking unheard of. the euro which has only been around for 4 years is worth $1.34. four years ago was worth 80 cents.

to top it all off, we have a population here in america who could basically care less about all of this. they go about their daily lives that seem all “fine and dandy” (ugh i really hate cliches) and oblivious to reality. they think none of this affects them (yeah, a pretty self-centered, unintelligent approach). so what can we do?

i don’t have the answers. trust me, if i had an answer on what could possible turn things around for this country i would be one of those at the front of the line leading. we live in a country where millions of people can protest against something, but it will never get airtime on our major news networks. we live in a country where there’s a major outcry for clinton’s impeachment, which was success, for a bloody blowjob, but yet no one gives a damn about the hundreds of other illegal things bush and cheney have done. no matter how many people support the impeachment of both bush and cheney, it will never happen. we live in a country where the separation between church and state is quickly becoming non-existent. all they have to do is talk about their overly dangerous neo-conservative and religious values behind everything and the majority of this country will see eye-to-eye with them. there is a major difference between morals and religion–you can have morals without religion as they are definitely not one in the same.

unbelievable.

just some follow-up quotes to my ‘america’ post the other day (this is a topic that is really frustrating me at the moment… just have to get it out so don’t feel that i’m wanting you to agree with my vision). not sure why i continue researching stuff like this as it only seems to piss me off even more…

the following quotes are pulled from the discussion and comments following these videos.

“Bush was never elected. Not in 2000, & not in 2004. America stood by while the neocons stole the elections & took over the media. America never questioned the official story about the September 11 attacks. Congress never even read the Patriot Act. America never blinked when Bush substituted Saddam for Osama. America is stupid. After the mandate of the November 2006 elections, Pelosi immediately said impeacment was off the table. Republicans and Democrats are up to their eyeballs in blood and lies. Wake up America! Demand immediate impeachment of Bush and Cheney, before Blackwater thugs roll down Main St USA. America can still be saved if the people demand it.”

“72% of Americans disagree with his policies while the other 28% are just as blind to what Bush is doing as they are to the fact that their spouse is cheating on them and their auto mechanic is overcharging.

Americans are not ’stupid’. It has been ingrained into our minds that we should trust our parents, our teachers and professors, our ministers and priests, our congress, Senate and of course, our President. To inappropriately trust is not indicative of stupidity. It may be ignorant and naive, but not stupid. OK. Semantics, I know, but that word has a hurtful connotation to it and it’s just not true, for the most part.

I think Americans are really beginning to see the light. But, sadly, most will never understand the true depths of our own government’s corruption. And, I do also agree, Americans need to DEMAND change, not just stand by and wait for it to happen.

YOU need to become active! EVERYONE does! These are not times for passivity and indifference. Our country is sinking into the shadows of a dark hole. Without serious change, this country can’t survive our own internal curruptions.

That’s why we can’t elect another Bush into office. That’s why we need to care who we put there and put our hearts into this election. And, be ready, because there are things going on behind the curtain that we can’t see. Don’t be surprised if there is more deceitful, criminal behavior during this upcoming election. Don’t be surprised if the same puppeteers are behind the next US President.

The only way to ensure it doesn’t happen is to NOT allow it!”

“We must come to understand the value of Freedom once again as Americans once new all too well. Freedom is something worth fighting for but every living American born citizen was born into freedom and we’ve never really needed to come to understand what it really means. Not the way our forefathers had to.

Only after losing our freedom or having it stripped away from us on some very real level can we come to understand what we are losing.

But, for now, we are only beginning to see the damage our own government is inflicting on us.

I fear that our government is in many ways, our own worst nightmare and I hope we all continue to discuss these things openly and with real intent to do something about it if necessary.”

the unfortunate realization i am beginning to have is that it’s a little too late for action. it seems that any attempt at a revolution or public march against what our government is doing will simply land you in jail or ripped from you home in the middle of the night, which has been happening to many immigrants since 9/11.

presidential candidate mike gravel (democratic senator for alaska) is probably the most honest and ballsy candidate currently running! listening to him speak is quite refreshing since he doesn’t feed you all the bullshit the other candidates do all the time. just watch this debate that highlights his comments… definitely good stuff. he appeared on an interview with wolf blitzer last weekend that was very good as well. go gravel!

it’s unbelievable that hilary clinton and barack obama are the top runners in the polls right now. will american ever wake up dammit?! these candidates are offering much of the status quo. 2008 is the tipping point for america… either we get a president into office who is truly angry about our current situation and is passionate about fixing it and our sorry excuse for foreign policy, or we get what most candidates offer who simply won’t get things done and america’s declining role and image in the world will remain.
