u10.int_subintrvrsn » holiday http://www.subintroversion.com/v2 random u10 musings Sun, 05 Feb 2012 13:00:00 +0000 en hourly 1 ’tis the season (for parties!) http://www.subintroversion.com/v2/2006/12/04/tis-the-season-for-parties/ http://www.subintroversion.com/v2/2006/12/04/tis-the-season-for-parties/#comments Tue, 05 Dec 2006 03:32:40 +0000 {ns} http://www.subintroversion.com/v1/2006/12/04/tis-the-season-for-parties/ last night lee, todd and myself did our chartiable thing for the xmas season and attended this year’s atlanta toy party, which was a holiday cocktail party and children’s toy drive and took place at the inforum building downtown. it was a pretty good time overall… totally packed, everyone well-dressed and of course the free drinks weren’t bad either. :) no dancing on boxes for me this time though! we talked to a few friends we saw there… cruised the scene and then departed after we each used our four free drink tickets around 830ish.

since we were still feeling the effects of the fairly strong drinks, not to mention really hungary as the orderves they had didn’t suffice, we walked a couple of blocks to ted’s, which is a ‘montana grill’ well-known for their bison. now, i don’t usually eat red meat due to its negative health effects, but i will make an occasional exception for bison since it’s actually a really healthy red meat… and typically better for you than chicken. it was really good (being starving probably didn’t help either). by the end of dinner, our buzzes had worn off and we headed back to the inforum parking garage and headed home… satisfied.

there’s another holiday party on wednesday, one on friday and then another next wednesday that we will probably be making an appearance to. let’s see how productive i really can be these next two weeks before departing for seattle on the 23rd. ha!
