finally! the start of the rainy season here in seattle is on the horizon and will be underway in a couple of weeks. i was just checking the latest long-range computer forecast models out to the beginning of october and after september 25th things really start to get cranking across the pacific. multiple strong storms move onto the washington coast well into october with no real break from the rain once it starts. noaa is calling for above normal precipitation and below normal temperatures for days 6-10 and days 8-14. of course this is still a long way away when it comes to weather forecasting, but hopefully there is much truth behind it. i can’t wait until the heart of the winter here… highs in the 30s and 40s, cloudy and rainy, and very short days. ah, the best weather (refer to my “why is it so?” post if you think i’m crazy)!

ah… the nice cool fall air. awaking to cold, frosty mornings with a nice hot cup of coffee. the collapsing leaves of various colors, giving way to the coming changes as witnessed by windier weather. yep, i definitely love this time of year… things are changing for the better after the hellish heat of summer, and we now have cold, winter’s grip to look forward to (hopefully!).

halloween always seems to officially kick off the holiday season, and it’s always awesome to see the variety of style and creativity in pumpkin-carving. this site has some pretty good ones. hey sis… you recall that one you did a while back that you sent pics to? haha, priceless!
