all it’s cracked up to be?

working from home definitely has its advantages and perks… working my own hours, having a more flexible schedule, a greater variety of work. however, recently i have been feeling the ill effects of working from home, especially the isolation and lack of workplace camaraderie. just talking to friends who work in an office and have co-workers makes it sound more appealing. i have been considering picking up a part-time job somewhere for a couple days a week (especially if it’s a place where i can take advantage of the employee discounts like starbucks or a clothing store!). maybe work nights if at a store or early mornings if at starbucks. i’m still not sure, but i will probably start looking around and seeing what’s available as well as flexibility of scheduling. who knows… maybe this is just a phase that will quickly pass once i realize that i lose some of my independence.
