it’s coming! the rain is coming!

finally! the start of the rainy season here in seattle is on the horizon and will be underway in a couple of weeks. i was just checking the latest long-range computer forecast models out to the beginning of october and after september 25th things really start to get cranking across the pacific. multiple strong storms move onto the washington coast well into october with no real break from the rain once it starts. noaa is calling for above normal precipitation and below normal temperatures for days 6-10 and days 8-14. of course this is still a long way away when it comes to weather forecasting, but hopefully there is much truth behind it. i can’t wait until the heart of the winter here… highs in the 30s and 40s, cloudy and rainy, and very short days. ah, the best weather (refer to my “why is it so?” post if you think i’m crazy)!
