i just returned from a quick trip to washington dc for a work-related conference that lee and i attended at the NOAA headquarters in silver spring, md. we stayed in a hotel in dupont circle just northwest of the white house. it was a pretty good trip… got to hang out in dc for halloween, although i am pretty sure the scene would have been 300 times better here in atlanta. the more popular clubs we went to were playing really old-school music (70s and 80s), which is something i am definitely not into when going out. yuk! definitely NOT good dancing music! other than going out during the night and walking around the city during the day on wednesday (our conference was thursday all day), not much else consumed our time. i am definitely going to have to go out here in atlanta tonight in order to make up for the uneventful night out on tuesday night in dc! the coffee has not fully kicked in yet this morning, about to head to the gym and i really don’t feel like writing much, so that’s it for me.
oh, and keep an eye on my flickr photos as i’ll be uploading some i took while on the trip over the next day or so.
