although I have not visited Seattle (except to the Sea-Tac airport), I would definitely say that the people are WAY nicer up in the PNW… that atmosphere is more relaxed than being the short time in NYC that I was… there is more NATURE than concrete the PNW- do you desire to see wildlife and be encouraged to have a pet? (and angry squirrels barking at you from trees don’t count as pets
)…

it all depends on what drives you- where you will be happy…
Did I mention that it is someplace NEW? You haven’t lived in Seattle, so it will be a new experience for you… and you love to travel… with Seattle, you have the hustle & bustle of the city, but within minutes you have the outdoors at your fingertips… no need to drive for hours to go hiking/climbing/etc. AND, you are a short ferry ride away from CANADA
