career path unclear

as has been the case for the past couple of months, my next career path remains quite unclear as multiple possibilities remain open. i have been doing freelance work still here in atlanta, working with lee which has been more productive in person than over the internet all the time. last week we were contacted by a major publication company here in the US for additional information about HAMweather, which of course we pushed our new product that i’ve been working on as it appeared to be quite similar to what they briefly described was their new product in development. they were quite impressed with our new video product, which still remains in development. i’m planning on adding new features and fixing some bugs to the beta demo they have been viewing by monday to keep their interest. their vice president even contacted us regarding their high level of interest! :) so on friday lee and i agreed to a mutual non-disclosure agreement for both parties in order to move forward with more detailed discussions as to how we can be of help with their project, whether it’s just weather data consulting or actually doing some of the development work for them. of course i hope there’s development work involved!

if we do end up working out a contract between us for work, it has the potential to be a huge project with very good income along the way. this would most likely put off my quest for a job in architecture as i would be busy for a while, along with the list of other projects in the works for lee and hamweather. i have been looking at job openings in both atlanta and nyc occasionally, but definitely have not been as ambitious as i was back in june and july since i would like to await the outcome of current projects. although i still cannot wait to get up to nyc, my time here in atlanta has been great so i am not going to rush into things unprepared. getting out of texas has definitely be beneficial! :)
