perhaps all i really needed was some quality sleep for once… moreso than my usual six hours? i was concerned this morning after waking up only four hours after getting back from going downtown with friends and felt groggy and still tired. don’t tell me another unproductive day! after some much needed coffee and a nice hot shower, i was finally springing back to life again and what a relief that was! so i had brunch with some friends late morning, so getting out of the apartment also gave me a nice jump start. after getting back from brunch, i responded to some emails that have been piling up and waited until the prime heat of the day to go for a nice, long, sweaty and exhausting mountain bike ride. this was about 200p so it was definitely hot… the temperature was at 94 degrees and quickly climbing to a high of near 100 by 500p.
it was definitely amazing how much energy i had built up inside… not once did i ever get tired the entire two and a half hours of intense mountain biking, which was very refreshing. once i reached the end of the trail before turning around and heading back (about ten miles out), i sat there and enjoyed the peace, quiet and loneliness and in an attempt to clear my head of the frustrations and stress that has been wearing me down the past few weeks. it definitely helped! then i headed back and that is where i find myself now… refreshed, clear-minded and hopefully able to focus on things again. i’m not quite sure if it was the running around all over new york that wore me out… or the sudden transition and adjustment from nyc’s fast pace to austin’s much calmer tone. anyway, i am hoping my sleeping cycle has completed yet another round and i am back, this time with a little more sleep perhaps lol. of course, i can’t afford to have days of hibernation all that often as there is work to be done and goals to achieve!
and of course, let’s hope there is positive news regarding my interview!

Japanese is really cool. The characters are very cool. Keep working on this…I’d like to see how you’d do at a sushi restaurant.
