where i belong

i arrived back to new york this afternoon around 4pm and soon found myself once again walking the streets of manhattan. it feels as if i never even left as i was quickly back in the swing of things as i had left it in early january. after dropping my things off at my friend’s place that i’m staying with, we headed over to central park to watch the philharmonic symphony play in one of their free summer concerts in the park, which started at 8pm. it was an amazing evening and one of the better ways to return to new york. after the concert, there was a pretty good fireworks show on the southern end of central park. we just got back… it started pouring as soon as we caught the bus back and am back at my friend’s apartment next to columbia university on the far upper west side. now time to prepare my stuff for the big interview in the morning… wish me luck!
