merely two days after i sent my work and resume out to fantasy interactive (the firm i would love to work for), i received a response back this morning. first of all, this is unheard of typically with design firms as they are usually in no hurry to respond to applicants. anyway, so the recruiter who sent me the email this morning said my work was ‘interesting’ (good or bad, not sure?) and that i have been chosen to advance forward in their application process (woohoo!). she attached one of those tests i touched upon in yesterday’s entry, this one being the flash/developer test that consists of two parts. she also stated that if i decide to complete the test, that i should send her a confirmation email which also contains my salary requirements (like i have any clue what that is for new york city). once she received this confirmation, she will be expecting my solutions from the test within a week.
so like i said earlier, i would love to work for this firm and will definitely be completing the test. i just have to find out what an average entry-level interface designer/developer makes in nyc so i can provide that to her in my emial response.
