what a fine government we have

i’m glad that many americans are finally seeing what a poor job our current administration and president is doing in an attempt to oversee things in this country. chaos has pretty much prevailed in new orleans, regardless of the media’s depiction that things are looking brighter for the devestated city and region. now news is coming out that police and the national guard have been violently supressing the media, journalists and photographers in the city to surpress what images are actually released of how new orleans citizens are really being handled:

now our government and its organizations trying to regain order in the region are trying to make up stories to cover up their incompetent lack of response after the disaster. As stated in the following article from MSNBC ( http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9232927/ ):

“Even as Katrina was bearing down on the Gulf Coast that Sunday night and early Monday, Aug. 28-29, and the national hurricane center was warning of growing danger, the White House didn’t alter the president’s plans to fly from his Texas ranch to the West to promote a new Medicare prescription drug benefit.”

And this is expected: “In a television interview, Bush said — mistakenly — that nobody anticipated the breach of the levees in a serious storm.” they didn’t anticipate this happening!? yeah right! this has only been a huge fear for new orleans for decades and they knew it would eventually happen.

now, bush has signed for $51 billion to go to the rebuilding efforts in new orleans… since when does it cost $51 billion to rebuild a city, especially after insurance claims will account for a large majority of the rebuilding costs. i guess halliburton, who has been hired to oversee the rebuilding efforts, needs the extra money to take care of things.

i can’t take this administration or president for another 3 years…
